2092: Planet Caro

Pack your toothbrush, don your space (& swim) suit and bring the one item you could never live without because on August 20th, the voyage to Planet Caro is departing and you are specially invited to come along.  

For a weekend in late August, Planet Caro Pioneers will venture to a land far, far away to partake in a weekend of creative expression, adventure & exploration of the cosmos. We will be well taken care of in our new land of Cielos on Planet Carol, as the area includes glamping-style tents, a swimming pool & deck, farm-to-table meals provided, a yoga/dance den, outdoor/indoor fireplaces, a saloon & much more. There will be a host of activities happening to help us acclimate to our new home including yoga, hiking, dancing, meditation, relaxation, pool time, a costumed dance party & a few surprises!

If you choose to come along on this crazy voyage (which I sincerely hope you do) be sure to pack your most out-of-this-world outfit. On Saturday, August 21st (the beginning of Caroline's 29th trip around the sun) we will dance the night away with attire suited to our new extraterrestrial home. Ticket prices are $385/person for the 2 days/2nights (accommodations, food & activities all included). Alcohol is not included. Caroline will be supplying some libations including kif & Lubanzi but everyone is encouraged to BYOB. If you would like to bring any of your own food/drinks, you must bring your own cooler to store them. No food or drinks can be stored in the tents because they attract bugs & animals.

Cielos Accommodations

The tents were designed for simplicity and elegance, and come furnished with comfortable beds, warmed by optional tent heaters and hot water bottles, high-quality bedding, and carpeted flooring (in winter). Showers and bathrooms have hot and cold running water, organic bath products, and are cleaned multiple times throughout our stay.

Campsite features

• 30 secluded acre, two hours north of LAX
• 900 sqft outdoor shaded yoga and stage platform
• 1800 sqft indoor heated furnished teepee with full soundsystem
• 480 sqft swimming pool + decking + 1700 sqft beach sand area + DJ booth + shade structure
• Large saloon with full kitchen and lounge area

• All electricity in the camp is solar-powered, making it a fully “off the grid experience.”
• Individual showers over hardwood floors drain into a greywater system to minimize groundwater pollution.

Location & Weather

Crazy Diamond is located in the high desert, one hour north of Ojai, CA; 120 miles from LAX, and right outside of the stunning Los Padres National Forest. A vehicle is necessary, and you can look up the location here.

Due to its location, the historical temperatures are unpredictable. The averages in August range from highs in the high 90’s to the high 50's at night.
